A Texan by birthright, Roberts recently moved to Tulsa and will be at the Tulsa Overground Film & Music Festival to show off the virtual reality (VR) technology behind his reporting techniques and give insight to the possibilities VR brings to the storytelling world.

Dylan Roberts always has felt compelled to tell stories through a lens. And the more dangerous the venue, the better. He has been to places such as Iraq, Gaza and Somalia documenting the pitfalls of war and hostile conflict. In 2013, he and London’s Christian Stephen co-founded Freelance Society, a Tulsa-based company that provides multimedia and interactive photos, video and digital content in conflict zones.
